December 5, 2016 One Hundred Seventeen Years Old and Still Kicking!

It may be the cock that crows, but it is the hen that lays the eggs.
– Margaret Thatch
Dear Friends,
Did you see the article on the lady that is 117 years old and eats 3 eggs a day?  As you know, I’m always carrying on about eating fresh good food including eggs and your fruits and vegetables.  I passionately believe that how and by whom food is produced is important.    Small family farms are disappearing as large corporate, for the bottom line only businesses (I don’t call them farms) produce ‘food’ that comes to you in boxes and containers or restaurants or fast food ‘joints’.  But our eggs are from chickens that run free during the day eating plants and bugs and such and are closed in at night for protection.  Combine some eggs this week (breakfast, lunch, dinner or snacks) along with your other items this week for some easy yummy, healthy dishes.
Our eggs are easy to order from the Green Store.
Here are a couple links with some fabulous ideas and recipes!

                                                  Bon Appetit!
                                                  And another!
We’re renewed in our commitment to provide more good food products to our local military families that reach out to us.  You can help by either buying an amount per month to be given to a family and/or share the information through the web’s social channels.  It all helps the momentum.  Together we can make a difference..
Call or email me if you need cooking tips.  Happy to oblige.
