Dear Friends,
No one was more surprised than I for the rain we received last week. What a miracle! Buckets were filled with run off and all the crops, flowers, trees and bushes are plump with moisture. Could we have this every 10 days please?
We’re still harvesting our bounty crop of carrots and have another bed to go over the next two weeks, so if your produce drawer is like mine, they may be building up. But not to despair, they keep their nutrition and crispness for weeks so will soon be consumed. If you need suggestions, this is a good site. Carrots Galore
The cooking green this week is a new cross between Brussel sprouts and kale. Hope you enjoy it. It’s jammed packed with vitamins and minerals so good for you.
Finally, the berries are starting to come in. Blackberries, raspberries and blueberries all freeze well so order extra from the Green Store to have for later.
