September 12, 2016 Remembrance and Appreciation
Man…is fighting a lone fight against vast indifference. A gardener learns that. His flowers are fighting the same sort of lone fight and perhaps that is why he love them and pities them. –Warwick Deeping

Dear Friends,
We all in our own ways, remember historic September 11, 2001. For me, after a day of following the news with a couple of hours left of daylight, I went out into the gardens and furiously trimmed and weeded until dark just to make contact with the earth.. it’s feel, the creatures and the smell of flowers and fresh air. To be reassured that Good was still there and the fertile ground on which we raise our crops still had the promise of more.
With the close of summer and most vacations had, I’d like to thank again the generous shareholders that donated their scheduled deliveries to our local military families. Their gratitude is certainly evident in their most sincere Thank You notes. We have a waiting list of these families we would like to help so if you are able, sign-up for a weekly or every other week donation. Let’s let them know we care!
Call or email me if you need cooking tips. Happy to oblige.
