Dear Friends,
Stephenie and Kendall harvested potatoes this week. The Russets didn’t do so well, but we ended up with a good harvest of white potatoes. If some Russets do find their way into your bag, here’s a great recipe for baking them up: Best Baked Potatoes. Stephenie suggests cooking in half & half and butter, and here’s one more recipe from Ina Garten: Garlic Roasted Potatoes
If you’ve got a great potato recipe, please share with us, and we’ll add it to our recipes page on the Seabreeze website.
A quick note to help keep your flowers fresh longer as the weather starts to warm up. When ready to unwrap and put them into your vase, fill the sink about half full with cool water. With the ends of the stems submerged, snip off about an inch from the ends and quickly place them into your vase with water. Never place your fresh flowers in direct sunlight.
Warm regards to all and enjoy your good food.
We’ve still got some of our incredible local honey. Be sure to restock or try this favorite of ours. Local honey is touted for warding off colds and buffering against allergies and it’s just plain good.
