Dear Friends,

     Wow..’normal’ weather is back.  Boy, are we grateful.  What a difference 10 degrees makes.

     We’re already noticing the approach to fall in the growth patterns of the crops.  The Genovese basil is growing gang busters and starting to show signs of going to seed.  All perfectly normal.  So this week we’re giving extra so you can make into basil and freeze.  Honest, it’s so easy and you’ll be so glad this winter to have it.  I substitute sunflower seeds for pine nuts as they’re less expensive.

     And more good news.  Found a new source for fresh local honey.  And it wasn’t easy.  Seems fewer folks are doing beekeeping, unfortunately, like real family farms so was thrilled.  And it’s a great price and delicious.  It’s available on the GreenStore.

     If you missed from last week, now have re-stocked our favorite brand of soap, hand lotion and personal candles from ‘The Naked Bee’, a U.S. company with fabulous products and ingredients  The hand soap is indispensable in my kitchen, and the hand/body lotion is so cooling and soothing.  They’ve combined wonderful natural scents that are just a pleasure.  I especially like the little personal candle to to calm down after a hectic day.  They’re available on the GREEN STORE under Personal Care at a very reasonable price.

      Vacation time is here for many and our military families are always grateful to receive your share.  Just drop us a note when you’ll be gone and we’ll see it’s given for good use.
